Paap Ke Gali

Guys, many of you must have heard a few stuffs about puck-life in symbiosis. Well, honestly, not everything is true, but what ever that is true, will surely make the 2 years a breeze. Every college has a hidden spot(or not so hidden) and paap ki gali Symbiosis ke peeche chaalu hoti aur khatam bhi...I must not comment further and let everyone go that moment of nostalgia or should I say trauma.

For newbe's camera;s lag chuke hain ab.Find a way to jam these

Shivaji ka wada paw

Shivaji ke wada paaw...Yeh to suna hi hoga. Now these are the words you come to hear from everyone who has worked in Hinjewadi, Pune or been there for a few days. Shivaji wada wala comes along with his complete family, well ofcourse to make wada's and the sheer crowd he attracts is perhaps one the primary reasons why guys usually like to visit the site(If you know , what I mean) and then there is the peet pooja. If you are a newbe, then this place will will certainly be one of your first destinations out of campus.

SAP Lectures...Its just started

Lets start with the word lecture...It literally means that it is an oral presentation intended to present information or teach people about a particular subject. But let me assure only half of it was true with SAP lecture. Meaning, only oral ppt was intended to be completed within the stipulated time frame, not the understanding part.

Even important part was to reach the class before time, no matter how deep shit you are in...If the professor enter the hall just before you do, you can feel the the air of the door on your face. Of-course you got to save your nose from getting slammed. Okey, now you are in the class hoping that this time you would learn something new,You are excited to know the fact on the first day, that very few institutes are teaching SAP stuff, that you are going to know the business scenarios, that you are going to be a consultant to big firms...But the hopes & dreams shatter the moment the first few slides glide by You are actually left with a view, whether these lectures are serious or joking. Even, if the whole world knows that this wasn't a joke, you got to be pretty serious to take it as a joke, otherwise, it is up to you to save up your asses during the exams...

Its been a few months now, and you know, that you are doomed, but wait for it...here comes the surprise tests. You know what, you got to know the page #, the line#, the word #, the alphabet was a capital or not. And when you have got all the things embedded in your mind you can score 100% but that to comes with a clause of knowing, how to play crosswords.

Having said all the above things, I got to appreciate the hard work the professor puts for searching the stuff which he thinks might be interesting for students to know. Its interesting or not...that is really a question, which again would take a lot of time to analyze and another case study could be designed and presented.

Woh Chai Ki Tapri, Chai Peene Chalo…

D-Hostel was at a distance from the college main building and once we returned back to our rooms there was no returning back untill the next morning.

Soon we had discovered that a chai was the most essential thing classes or no classes. Initially, our destination was Shriram chai wala who used to make awesome adrak wali chai. We had made it into our routine to go for a cup of chai and return with atleast 4 cups in our belly. We used to go for a 5 mins break and rather used to spend 1.5 hrs having chai, sutta and guppe-shuppe.

Later, on Shriram went somewhere else and we had to resort to his competitor Raju Chai wala who later on went to become a monopoly in that area. Raju chai wala had a bigger place to sit which meant that we had more time to spend and more chai to drink. We guys used to talk all the nautanki stuff we could think of and used to see the HRD guys having their asses kicked in classes from morning 7 to evening 6. SCIT was more of a fun place as most of the classes used to get cancelled during the beginning of the session.

The main members of our chai excursion are as follows:

Gajendra urf Gajju urf Gajjia

Sourabh Parmar the despooooo

Gaurav Deshmukh (me) later on was named as baba

Sankar Das/DOS

Saket or socket

Dinesh Bhau

Gaurav Saha the twitter of our class

Saurabh Misra Ji later on became the ultimate repeater

Six Sigma Ki Prapti

Six Sigma was a new thing which we had just learned and what we had really fixed in our minds was that whenever we had a perfect cup of our daily chai we had achieved SIX SIGMA...

Later on , this concept was evolved and what-ever we made by ourselves to drink or eat our aim was to achieve six sigma.

The ultimate words were:- SIX SIGMA KI PRAPTI

How To Reach Symbiosis

Symbiosis Campus has many colleges under it as you guys already know. There are mainly 2 campuses one is in Hinjewadi, Pune and the other one is in Symbiosis Knowledge Village Lavale.

The colleges in Hinjewadi campus which is Symbiosis Infotech Campus are:
1. SCIT (Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology)
2. SCMHRD (Symbiosis Centre for Management in IN Human Resource Development)
3. SIIB (Symbiosis Institite of International Business)

The colleges in Lavale Campus are:
1. SIBM (Symbiosis Institute Of Business Management)
2. SITM (Symbiosis Institute off Telecom Management)

Well, as I belonged to the Hinjewadi, Campus let me start of by guiding how to reach the hinjewadi, campus.

Options Available:-

a. Take an auto directly- Its a very expensive option and from railway station the rickshaw-wala should take a max of Rs.280 and with a little bargain one can come @ Rs.220. It takes 40 mins to travel.

b. Come to Atur Centre- Atur centre is a place where another campus of symbiosis(SICSR, SCDL, ELTIS(English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis)) is there. This place is near OM-SUPER MARKET and is located in front of E-SQUARE MALL-University Road. From this runs a bus owned by symbiosis which is run for students of Hinjewadi campus. An outsider is also allowed with a nominal charge of Rs.10.
The timings vary from time to time but one can ask the timings at this no.020-22934321(symbi security no.) I would recommend to take this option if you are coming early in the morning.i.e.before 11 am, if you are carrying too much luggage. Otherwise you can take any bus of any time.

c. Take a city bus- This is the least favorable option as the buses to Hinjewadi are very less and crowded and takes more than one hour. Still one can take bus from the bus depot at railway station.

Accommodation: The juniors are to stay in the hostel which is called as the D-Hostel .i.e D block. This block is not in the campus is behind the Persistent Systems building. The bus driver needs to be told to stop at the D-Hostel stop if one has to go in D-hostel. The main campus is around 500 mts from the D-Hostel and the common mode of transportation is on foot.
